The number of bits used to represent each pixel in a greyscale image, which determines the number of available shades of grey (e.g. 8 or 24).

The number of bits used to represent the colour of a single pixel in the output, which determines the total number of possible colours (e.g., 24 or 32).

The number of bits used to represent each pixel in a greyscale image, which determines the number of available shades of grey (e.g. 16).

Colour depth of the input into the product. The colour depth is either the number of bits used to indicate the color of a single pixel

Feature of computer scanners and multifunction printers (MFPs) that allows the automatic scanning of a sheet of paper on both sides.

How many pixels a scanner can see. Most commonly

The maximum optical resolution the device can achieve when using software interpolation to improve image detail, measured in dots per inch (dpi).

The maximum dimensions of a document that can be digitized in a single pass, measured in mm.

The amount of acoustic noise emitted by the device during operation, measured in decibels (dB).

The scanning interfaces and software protocols supported by the device for communication with computer applications (e.g. TWAIN, WIA).

The computer

The maximum percentage of time a machine or piece of equipment can be in operation for in one day in relation to the time it must remain out of operation. For instance

The digital file types in which the device can save scanned documents (e.g. BMP, DOCX, EPS).

The type of technology or material used to generate light (e.g., LED, Halogen lamp, or CCFL).

Number of sheets this product can hold in its ADF tray; expressed in sheets

The maximum dimensions of a document that can be processed by the automatic document feeder, measured in mm.

The smallest document size that can be processed by the automatic document feeder, measured in mm.

The minimum and maximum weight of media that can be processed by the automatic document feeder, measured in grams per square metre (g/m²).

Indicates whether the device supports the processing or output of documents in legal paper size.

Indicates whether the device supports the North American Letter paper size (215.9 x 279.4 mm).

Different sizes of paper from A0 (big) to A9 (small). A4 is the most common size used for printing documents.

The supported paper dimensions based on the ISO 216 B-series standard (e.g. B0, B1, B2).

The maximum paper size the device can handle, defined by ISO A-series.

Most common industry-standard communication protocols ranging from RS-232

Specifies the additional communication interfaces that can be added to the unit, such as Bluetooth, Ethernet, or various serial connections.

Iedere nieuwere versie - bijv. 1.1, 2.0 en 3.0 - is veel sneller dan de vorige.

The device features a socket into which a USB cable can be plugged.

Indicates whether the device supports the Internet Protocol version 6 for network connectivity.

The environmental or ethical certifications the product has received to verify its sustainability standards (e.g., ASC or ACT Organic).

Software distributed with another product such as a piece of computer hardware or other electronic device

Indicates whether the necessary software drivers are provided in the package.

Welke kabels erbij zitten.

Indicates whether a physical warranty card is included with the product.

Indicates whether the product is supplied with software on a compact disc.
